MY JOURNEY
My name is Jess, and I am a London working mom to two energetic boys (still can’t believe it), one 3-year-old and the other 4 months, and I feel very grateful to have experienced two extremely positive births with them.
I first came to Hypnobirthing when I was pregnant with my son in 2021. And to be honest, I had a misconception that Hypnobirthing was a bit hippy and would involve hypnosis. But I was also scared of giving birth and knew that unless I took control of the situation and found a way to address my fear, my anxiety would overwhelm me. I had previously suffered from health anxieties and knew that I didn’t want my motherhood journey to start like this.
After completing a Hypnobirthing antenatal course, I realised how wrong I’d originally been about hypnobirthing. Hypnobirthing is far from the original hippy/hypnosis idea’s that I had had in my head. Yes, you do learn a lot of breathing and relaxation techniques, but you also learn huge amounts about the logic, process and science of pregnancy and labour, which left me feeling so confident and calm leading up to giving birth.
Cut to the end of my pregnancy, and I truly had the most amazing birth with my son. After experiencing such a positive birth, I knew I wanted to tell more people about it.
I studied under the hugely knowledgeable and accredited Katherine Graves from KGHypnobirthing, and it is this antenatal course that I teach.
I am truly passionate about teaching, talking and listening to women on all things birth-related so they can have a birth experience that leaves them feeling empowered and positive.
I am so excited to share my knowledge with you to help you achieve the birth you want.
